What can I expect in our 15 min consultation?

During our very first conversation I will ask specific questions about your ideas, goals, and current struggles.  I will tell you how I work, how we will connect each week, and what the next steps are.  You can ask any questions you have to get to know me.  If we agree to move forward I will provide you with instructions to connect virtually or provide directions to the office.  If we discover that you may better benefit from something or someone else I will do my best to point you in the right direction.

What can I expect in the initial session?

This first conversation is to explore what the journey may look like as we work together.  During our first meeting we will review some basics, such as paperwork and policies within Rising Sun Therapy.  We will then review the paperwork you have submitted and discuss your previous experiences with therapy.  I like to find out what worked and what didn't.

My goal for the first session is to have you elaborate on your reasons for seeking support at this time and about your goals and desires for therapy.  If you don't know, that's ok too!  It is very common and normal to be nervous when you meet someone new.  I do my very best to create a safe place for you to share what's on your heart and mind without judgement.

How much does it cost?

Intake session: $125
Psychotherapy: $125
