As a woman and mother myself, I understand the challenges that arise when you’re trying to support everyone around you while also trying to lead your own life. I remember bringing my children home and feeling completely overwhelmed from day one.  This life transition was the hardest one I ever went through! That's why I am passionate about helping my clients find themselves again and enjoy motherhood.

With my clients I am very practical and down to earth.  Throughout our time together we will use practical approaches that help you understand barriers to progress and make small changes to your thoughts and behaviors so you can experience more peace. With my help, you will be able to meet the struggles of your daily life with mindfulness and strength based solutions. I am passionate about joining your journey, exploring who you are, and identifying your goals and aspirations. You are not alone.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University.  I am trained to see clients' experiences from a systems perspective, meaning we look at everything that influences you.  That could be your past and present relationships, life experiences, and pressures from society regarding what it means to be a woman or a mother.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2018. My experience in the behavioral health field began in 2010 with work in various settings: Group housing, therapeutic support within a preschool setting, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and outpatient counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Seton Hall University. I am also trained in trauma-informed care. I seek to create a safe, calming environment for all of my clients utilizing an integrative approach to care. Each case is developed with the individual’s unique needs in mind.  Together we are able to use any form of creative expression to convey their concerns (i.e. art, poetry, literature, music). I look at the holistic health of the individual, not just their mental health.

Within evidenced-based practices, I work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also emphasize a solution-focused approach.

I am passionate about working with children and adolescents, and focus on those with school needs. I am available to attend IEP and 504 meetings as needed and foster positive relationships with school counselors.

As with children, I assist young adults transitioning to and from college, as well as throughout their higher education experience.  Lastly, I work with older women on various needs regarding career, life adjustments, and grief/loss.

Relationship Struggles

Anger issues

Interpersonal conflict.

I want my clients to feel heard and understood, and to know that I will always be on their side. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is always at the heart of the work that we do.

Sometimes, we are our own biggest challenger, competitor, and negative voice. My goal is to help clients reframe that force in a more positive and

constructive way to help them achieve their full potential in life. There is no burden in life that shouldn’t be shared. My therapy is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral techniques coupled with empathy and the positive regard of a person-centered approach. Your perception is your reality, and that’s where I will meet you.

I have always wanted to work in a capacity where I was able to help others in life.  After graduating from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, I continued on to Villanova University and earned my Masters degree in Counseling and Human Relations. During my time in school, I worked as a staff support to children with autism and their families. Afterwards, I began my career as a school-based behavioral health clinician, a position that included treating families across school, home, and community settings.

Because of lessons learned from these experiences, my goal is always to integrate the multiple facets of a client’s life into their treatment. I became a Nationally Certified Counselor in 2008 and a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2011. Over the years, I have alternated between being a stay-at-home parent and working in private practice as a therapist. I always look forward to hearing your story.
